Most mornings when I open my eyes I say to myself: I, not events, have the power to make me happy or unhappy today. I can choose which it shall be. Yesterday is dead, tomorrow hasn't arrived yet. I have just one day, today, and I'm going to be happy in it. ~ Groucho Marx ~

Are you the fun, easy going, happy go lucky person or the poor damsel sitting by the phone ruminating about why the guy didn't call?

I've received half a dozen emails over the past few weeks from women wondering why the guy either vanished without a trace or isn't appreciating thier attainability and availability. Perhaps ladies - those are your biggest flaws. Men are hunters...they WANT to pursue you. Come on...Get a life and get busy!

Seriously - dating is just DATING.  I mean it's not rocket science, it's not your career, it's not the cure for cancer, It shoudn't be complicated or even stressful. It shouldn't make or break your day or your life. Think about this...have you ever heard of someone that literally died of a broken heart?  NO!  So do yourself a favour and relax. This should be a fun time for you.

I'm super cool, I'm sometimes sexy, I'm very funny, I'm smart and I am very dedicated to improving the quality of my life. I find every opportunity to make someone smile, laugh, and feel loved and appreciated.  I'm a fucking great catch! (except for that whole swearing like a trucker thing but that's a work in progress).

See the thing is, I've always felt I was hard to get...In the quality sense of the in any guy would be lucky to have me.  And to get into my heart...well that's pretty fucking hard...I mean really hard considering I've never been in love. The thing is that I'm not actually IS hard to tie me down.

Here's the trick...Don't PLAY hard to get - BE hard to get. If you're busy enjoying your life as it is, being hard to get will come naturally because you'll have too much going on in your everyday life to be easily available. Stop staring at the phone, get out of bed, take a shower, put on some fabulous clothes and GET OUT.  Even if you just go grocery shopping or treat yourself to a matinee.  Don't rob yourself of the day just because of a boy. You can never get this day back. In three months from now you won't even remember the dumbasses name. Let me help you with the following affirmation.  Write it down if you have to. Are you ready?  Here we go...

Wash, rinse and repeat.
Wash and rinse.

Now...promise yourself that you will take no shit from ANYONE. You will not be stooping to any level lower than your standard or steering away from your moral compass. Be focused.  Even when it comes to booty calls don't accept too little (and I don't mean unit size). Only date boys who are real gentlemen, who think you're beyond fantastic, who swoon for you. The lucky guy should think you're so beautiful that it hurts him and he could hardly contain himself. He should think you're so funny that his sides could literally explode from laughter. He should find it hard to concentrate when you are lying naked in bed with him. You will never have to wait for his call because he will always be by your side.

You are worth swooning over.  You deserve a guy with balls as big as Georges St-Pierres who will do anything and everything to break down the barriers to your heart... a guy who sees your quality and your value.

Before you leave your house today lather yourself with Love Luck Body Lotion, spoil your lips with shimmery Lipfusion, put on your invisible Miss Universe tiara, look in the mirror and say with conviction I AM HARD TO GET.

Stay true...stay you.
